Fiji's public procurement system is undergoing a significant modernization. A comprehensive review of the Procurement 2010 regulations has led to the development of new regulations and guidelines that prioritize technology, value, sustainability, and transparency. These changes align Fiji with international best practices, ensuring that public procurement benefits the nation's economy and citizens. The new regulations will also serve as a foundation for broader government policies. Cabinet approved the reforms in May 2024, and they are expected to be formally implemented by mid 2025.
